“My favorite people in the world are people I feel like will be totally honest with me and care about me enough to be like, ‘Oh, you can do better,’” she says, referring specifically to Sour producer Dan Nigro. “It’s just about finding people you can trust and whose opinions you can trust.”

Much of @Olivia_Rodrigo's music is inspired by the #brutal standard pop stars are held to, especially those she idolizes, like #BritneySpears. "I just hope that [Britney] gets all the justice she deserves and lives the best life she possibly can." https://t.co/tLAHxDJPc4 pic.twitter.com/KxkXrfZ8RJ

“I’m so happy that Britney’s case is getting so much attention, and I just hope that she gets all the justice she deserves and lives the best life she possibly can. As a society we definitely have to reexamine the way we treat women in the entertainment industry, and not just for ourselves - it’s unhealthy for young girls to be looking at all that stuff in the media. It paints a bad picture.”

As an 18-year-old, @Olivia_Rodrigo has accepted that she is "going to make a lot of mistakes in [her] life and [her] career" and thinks there should be more room for error. "That’s just life.” https://t.co/tLAHxE1q3C #OliviaRodrigo pic.twitter.com/X90sYacRrO

“When you’re in the industry, you’re sort of treated like a child but expected to act like an adult. That’s a really terrifying thought, to think that I’m not allowed to make any mistakes, because I think that’s how you grow as a person. I’m no different from any other 18-year-old out there. I’m definitely going to make a lot of mistakes in my life and in my career probably too. That’s just life.”

. @Olivia_Rodrigo is happy to be a songwriter, and hopes to do it for more artists in the future, “I think it’s so cool to be a part of helping someone else bring their vision to life.” https://t.co/tLAHxDJPc4 #OliviaRodrigo pic.twitter.com/dHMiD9qNP5

When it comes to her next album Olivia says she’s going to try not to rush into her next album: “I’m gonna take my time to figure out exactly what I want to say and how I want to say it.”
