bc it's better to be a pack of assholes who vilify 19 y o's with a history of childhood abuse and potential long-term sexual grooming/abuse from the adults in their management. only victims are allowed to exhibit problematic behaviour as a result of trauma and able to grow from it after a catastrophic mistake, literally fuck anyone else unless they're josh fuckin brolin or sean penn amirite

"hurt people hurt people" is an explanation, not an excuse.

I don’t know if you have your own issues or something and that’s why you’re caping for Chris brówn of all people, but you should know none of that is an excuse for his violent and downright insane behavior over the years.

are you serious? i literally include every single well-wishing notion with my awareness of how abuse is a cycle, and how important support for victims is. but when both people are, in my opinion, victims, striking a balance between wanting the both of them to be in healthy environments is imperative. being aware that there is a systemic problem with physical and sexual abuse in hollywood is very far from applying your non-famous issues to a situation, and it doesn't excuse anything violent that occurs therein, but damned if it doesn't put things in a different light sometimes.

People stop becoming victims once they become victimizers. CB has been violent toward multiple women. He has stalked and harassed multiple women. He has had had multiple restraining orders against him. Just stop, please.

i was uninformed about the stalking and harassment, and i don't think acknowledging the cycle of abuse as a cycle and hoping ppl heal is the same thing as enabling by any means, although i am going to do more research on these cases obvs. shutting down conversation regarding what contributes to victimhood and abuse when we have so many posts about domestic violence and domestiv violence cases here seems v detrimental to the part of ontd that's allyhood, but i'm not looking to argue further.

as if chris brown's violent behavior stopped when he was 19 and he doesn't have an extensive history with it well into his adulthood

yeah, it's a troll. i think they disappeared for a while after the last time people caught onto their schtick, but they haven't figured out how to be more subtle.
