They’ve been besties for years and years they’re just being silly. But it’s also kinda weird like if they’ve been friends for 13 years they met when Miles was 14 and Mae was 20. Like girl get a life lol

Their friendship is very old sister / younger brother dynamic from what I’ve seen. I think it’s a real “chosen family” kind of situation. I never watched Parenthood but it seems like it was 90% adults over 40 so she may have been still sat at the kids table even at 20. Plus, idk, when I was in my early 20s and working retail with teenagers, I wasnt like “don’t talk to be child.”
