Hello, it is the month of October and it is time to break out the chai lattes, the cans of pumpkin puree in the back of your pantry (you didn't know that shit was there until I reminded you, huh?), wrap your yourself in a warm blanket and watch some movies.

Instead of doing Saturday evening, the month of October will featured some Halloween appropriate films and we'll do a double feature - one movie on Friday and the other movie on Saturday. The movies will be from Netflix and Hulu (since that's what I have) We will be using the Google Chrome extension - Teleparty which works with desktop and laptop and each movie will begin around 9:05 US ET. You don't have to join for both movies, just pick and choose what you'd like. Since the range is a bit limited, I tried to make a lil' genre theme for each film and also tried to pick out some films that may not be incredibly popular.

Each movie will have a post as a reminder and links will be sent out in those posts for each film by yours truly!

Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.

Friday: Attack The Block

From the producers of Shaun of the Dead, ATTACK THE BLOCK is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen street gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London housing project into a sci-fi battleground, the low-income apartment complex into a fortress under siege. And it turns a crazy mix of tough street kids into a team of kick ass heroes. It's inner city versus outer space and it's going to explode.

Saturday: Secrets in the Hot Spring

After making a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, a young refugee couple struggle to adjust to their new life in a small English town that has an unspeakable evil lurking beneath the surface.

Saturday: TBD because turns out lots of horror movies have the premise a family moving to a new place and then oooooh sinister tings happen. Still trying to find something more imaginative.

Tonight, we're screening JAWS. Click HERE for the party! Was too lazy to make a separate post.
