Indie Film Release Guide: October 1st [An ONTD Original]

Sep 30, 2021 10:28

While Evan Hansen did not endear himself to the box office last week, it looks like Venom will have much better luck. Venom: Let There Be Carnage is set to have the biggest opening this weekend by far, with The Many Saints of Newark and its day-and-date release on HBO Max trailing far behind.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: September 24th, September 17th, and September 10th.
