-The estates of the late Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and Gene Colan havent filed copyright terminations for several of Marvels top characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, Thor and Disney/Marvel aint happy about it.

-Marvel/Disney are fighting against the creators estates claiming the "characters are ineligible for copyright termination as they were works made for hire"

-Should any of the estates win it would just mean that that they would get 50/50 ownership in the characters and that Disney/Marvel would have to pay them a portion of the profits that are made from said characters.

-Marvel/Disney (and DC) are known to be extremely cheap in paying creators for their characters/storylines that have made the MCU into a billion dollar franchise.

-Winter Soldier co-creator Ed Brubaker revealed that all he got from Marvel/Disney was a "thanks" instead of any substantial compensation for giving them a character and storyline that inspired Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

-Jim Starlin revealed in the past that he made more off of a fairly unknown character such as KGBeast who was in Batman V Superman than he did off of Thanos, Gamora, and Drax who he created and starred in 2 successful GoTG movies and center of the MCU.
