-Allegedly Lana privately called out Lorde for copying the melodies of her two songs for a song on Lorde's new album, after fans compared the song's similarities.
-Lorde agreed with the similarity claims but won't make a public statement which is what Lana wants, and now Lana is pissed.
-Lana's team had an expert get involved to go to Lorde's team and Lana was offerred a % of the song's publishing rights, but Lana declined it because she just wants Lorde to make the public statement.
-However if the public statement does not happen, a source close to Lana claims she will have no choice but to take legal action and sue. (Which makes no sense to OP if Lorde's team already offered the money for publishing rights, what will she sue for?)
-All songs were co-written and produced by Jack Antonoff, yet his name is not mentioned in the article at all.
-Interestingly "Wildest Dreams" by Taylor Swift has been compared since its release in 2014, to "Without You" by Lana, and no threats of a lawsuit or public statement have ever been reported.
