Very humbled to win @TheEmmys last night, huge thanks to @TVAcademy & congrats to all my brilliant fellow nominees. But want to dedicate this to Michael K Williams, his performance as Omar in The Wire is one of the great screen performances, he will be deeply missed. RIP🙏

Tobias has deserved an Emmy for YEARS. So underrated. Should have won one for The Terror too.

It's that fucked up trend of actors deserving for other roles and then it's like they finally give one to them for a so-so role.

Like Denzel should have had it for Malcolm X. Tobias should have been nominated and won for other roles. He's such a great actor.

I mean, the same can be said about MKW. This was the last chance for the Emmys to recognize his work too (although to be fair the voters didn't know it at the time.) But even before his death, entertainment journalists seemed to be in agreement that his performance was strongest out of the nominees.

if I had an icon of Fitzjames I'd use that instead but Randal will have to do. love Tobias, I'm happy he's finally getting some recognition even if it's not for the role he most deserves it for.
