It may not have happened actually. It's a tricky situation. A friend of Kurt's from back then said that Kurt wrote it in his journal as a fictional story but knowing men can be shit, I'm not saying there's no way it didn't happen.

there's a journal entry where he is writing about his first suicide attempt and it's about how he would go over to a house in the neighborhood to drink and smoke with guys from his school. there was a girl, their age, who also lived there and people would call her the r-slur but kurt thought she was "just slow." some of the boys would have sex with her/she would do favors for things. he went over one night because he didn't "want to die a virgin" or w/e and initiated sex but backed out because he didn't like the way she smelled. he didn't kill himself either and just went to class the next day. he then says the dad showed up and threatened to fight him.

re: the dispute to the story, it was made by buzz from the melvins who grew up with kurt in aberdeen. he says it's fake because aberdeen is very small and if something like that happened he would've heard about it and he didn't. as far as the doc, frances and his mom both regret making it.
