She def executive produced from the very beginning. I just started watching the reruns, and I remember being impressed by that.

for the show, I can't give you specifics but there are many references throughout the series, even filming an episode about going on her ugh birthright trip over there.. she did co-create w her then husband so prob yea had a huge say on it

as someone who knew nothing of Palestine growing up and watched this show religiously and followed what fran wore on insta it was a hard pill to swallow but whatever you live and learn

Her character always talked about going there and the summer she lost her virginity there was a plot point in one ep cuz Maggie wanted to go and do the same thing so the entire family ended up going.

it's definitely a zionist thing. Birthright is just an Israeli propaganda trip for college-aged Jews. I've had friends who were pro-Palestine, went on Birthright, and came back as huge zionists. forever glad I didn't go.

there are other trips not affiliated with Birthright that don't lie about the occupation, but at the end of the day, a trip to Israel is a trip to Israel.
