Twitter Army has been driving me nuts about this all day. omgggggggg. SO MANY are mad about Billboard asking them about the fans buying and the charts.

You can't act like there is nothing chart manipulative about buying funds/mass buying (lol there absolutely is, but also who the fuck cares? the charts are very silly and outdated.) and then also get mad when it's brought up to the members. If there's nothing wrong with it, WHY DO YOU CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE? The fact that you care shows that you know what you're doing is playing the charts.

Pls, chill out and calm down and just enjoy the new pictures. Besides, I thought Namjoon gave a good answer.

Twitter Army really need to chill out. They really act like these are little boys made of porcelain. These are seven MEN who are multi millionaires. Seeing them fight over some ramen is only one very small part of the picture. They have have seen and done stuff to get where they are today. Making them 'uncomfy' by asking real questions isn't going to kill them.

For real! And I thought RM's answer was good! So what is the ISSUE. Like of course Billboard is going to ask them about the methods behind them topping the BILLBOARD chart? Pls, Army, calm down and like go listen to some BTS ballads or something.

Nothing against your overall comment, but thinking "of course Billboard is going to ask them about the methods" is a stretch imo ( ... )

Slamming us or our fans for getting to No. 1 with physical sales and downloads, I don’t know if that’s right ... It just feels like we’re easy targets because we’re a boy band, a K-pop act, and we have this high fan loyalty.”

Crap Monster is right about it being Billboards problem to fix, but he can spare me on the “we’re being targeted” victim complex. Like idol like fans, I guess.

He could also mean racism

yeah, I think glossing over the racism and xenophobia that BTS has absolutely faced in order to be like "LOL BTS" is uh... not the best of looks.

literally just posted this in a comment but BTS is not the only musical act out with 50-leven ridiculous remixes or promo things or rereleases so why is it that all this chart talk and stan antics are focused on just ARMYs vs. other fans of white artists too? Everyone wants #1 hits and to do well and lots of artists encourage their fans to boost them up so why are we not talking about that in general if that's the issue being raised vs. only raising it for/with them? They're oversaturated in the market - and how I feel about title tracks for a while is a different story - but so are several american artists so why single them out specifically.

I saw the hashtag Billboard apologize to BTS (or something along those lines) and I passively wondered what that was about. Now that I know I am even less invested. I thought it was gonna be some racist/xenophobic type shit worth actually getting upset about.
