He was really fucking weird on the My Favorite Murder podcast. He said something to the effect that he was so fascinated by true crime he hoped that someday either he murdered someone or that someone murdered him. When the hosts laughed, he said he wasn't joking. There are some skeletons in that man's closet, possibly literally.

I don't recall him ever saying he was joking. If someone says they aren't joking after they say unsettling shit, especially if they already creep me out, I believe them.
