Is Outlander's rpf fandom still chugging along? Do they think that Caitríona's baby is really Sam's? I'm too lazy to investigate but I am curious.

Also since Kylie is one of the moms-to-be, I must say "Justice for Pitch!"

If I had to guess, they'll claim her husband is trying to trap her with a baby to keep her from Sam or something.

No, they think this is baby #3/4, and she’s been pregnant a lot, and by not saying her husband’s name in the post, it can be Sam’s.

But now Sam has commented congratulating the “two (three!)” of them, so I’m not sure what gymnastics are next.

Two entities ordered a copy of her marriage license once it became available and posted it publicly, and for those who believe those documents are legit, some don’t see a problem with the idea of her faking a whole marriage for some reason relating to her and Sam’s careers, her insecurities, imminent danger to the family, etc.

It's one of those things, too, where like... PR for the show would love it if they were actually a couple so there would be no reason to cover it up or hide it if they were actually dating.

iirc, they often claim that she's trapped in a loveless marriage and still in love with Sam so presumably they will think it's Sam's baby then.

Or if she is really with Tony now, she and Sam clearly were together sometime, or Tony should feel slighted that his now-wife and her costar were that friendly with each other. Very much put on Cait’s shoulders in several different misogynistic directions.

It’s all to avoid the ego-crushing reality of having been wrong from jump about someone’s life they don’t actually know. It’s very unaware and self-involved.

Scrutinizing her midsection for years, and employing Photoshop to try to see a bump. There have been a few times they were convinced she was pregnant, hence several kids. (All Sam’s of course.) They also find clues in a bracelet Sam started wearing. A video where they claim to hear Sam and Cait talking to their children. Stuff like that. It’s unbelievable.

i'm always shocked yet fascinated by the fans who take time out of their lives to be this weird and obsessive. it would never occur to me to do this, so i don't get it.

I can’t fully yet step into the mindset it takes to do/be this, but as someone with a psychology background, I’m fascinated. And it’s also because I love some interesting drama, I can’t lie.

First thing I did this morning when I saw Cait post was fire up the dark side blogs. The entertainment was going to be dynamite.

I did a quick twitter search and I saw some of the shippers insisting that it's Sam's kid.

One even said that they recognized Sam's fingers in the new baby post lmao.

That and they have a screenshot of a Sam IG story reading and there are stripes in the background (sheets?), and in the background of this baby pic are the “same sheets”.
