ONTD Original: Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor's numerous relationships/hookups with A-list actresses
OP is back with another Bollywood because its a hot summer and what better gossip in the summer than gossipping about the audacity of a rich man when it comes to relationships with women.
Quick summary: Even before his debut Ranbir Kapoor was called the "prince" of Bollywood because he is the son of actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, the grandson of iconic legendary Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor and the cousin of A-list actresses Kareena and Karisma Kapoor.
The Kapoor last name is a heavyweight in Bollywood and basicallly the family is filthy old money rich RICH.
So what comes with being the son and heir of a legendary film dynasty?
Relationships/hookups/affairs with somf of the most beautiful and A-list movie star actresses...so lets get to it!
1. Sonam Kapoor (2006-2007)
Ranbir's first actress relationship that is publically known is Sonam Kapoor. Sonam was Ranbir's first ever costar as the two debuted in their first ever movie together, the movie Saawariya. (2007).
Not much is known about Sonam and Ranbir's relationship as it was a short-lived one but after a few years of breaking up, Sonam went on talk show Koffee with Karan with Deepika Padukone and joined Deepika in publically dragging Ranbir for not being the best boyfriend.
2. Deepika Padukone (2007-2009)
Ranbir and Deepika's relationship was a serious one....well at least on her end. Deepika and Ranbir became a couple when they were filming for the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno in 2007. Deepika was so into Ranbir, she had his initials tattooed on her neck. A tattoo she couldnt get removed for many years after the relationship ended because of its placement.
The relationship ended in 2009 because Ranbir cheated on Deepika with Katrina Kaif. Deepika later admitted that Ranbir had cheated on her many times and she had caught him but that Katrina was basically the breaking point.
Along with Sonam Kapoor, Deepika later trashed Ranbir on a talk show:
"During the conversation on Karan's show, Karan asked Deepika, what would she like to gift Ranbir and she had said, "I would like to gift a pack of condoms to Ranbir because he uses them too much." Post which, Karan had asked Deepika for one advice that she would like to give to Ranbir and she had stated, "Endorse a condom brand."
But Deepika has since then forgiven Ranbir and they've worked together many times after their breakup in movies , Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013) and Tamasha (2015).
3. Rumored: Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2009/2010)
Not much to say about Priyanka and Ranbir except its heavily rumored/gossiped that they hooked up in 2009/2010 while filming the movie Anjaana Anjaani. Basically just a costar fling here and the only notable thing here is that at this same time Priyanka was publicly with actor Shahid Kapoor and was also hooking up with Shah Rukh Khan at the same time. Ranbir was busy too going from Priyanka/Katrina/Deepika.
4.Rumored: Amisha Patel (2012)
From blinds. gossip..Ranbir hooked up with older actress Amisha Patel at a wedding in 2012.
5.Rumored: Anushka Sharma (2013)
According to many gossip, reports,, blind items....Ranbir hooked up with actress Anushka Sharma in 2013 while the two were hosting/presenting together at an international award show.
A fan who was at the awards show wrote a detailed tumblr post about seeing these 2 being very drunk and friendly/touchy with each other at the time.
6. Katrina Kaif (2009-2016)
Ranbir and Katrina dated for for 6 years after his breakup with Deepika, from 2010-2016. The couple reportedly broke up because Ranbir's family didn't like Katrina and because Ranbir was unfaithful towards Katrina.
Katrina went onto give an interview to GQ which seemed to confirm those reports.
Katrina said this in an interview when asked about her break-up with Ranbir in an interview:
"See men and women, they're different. Women give birth to babies, men don't. We can't say 'oh equality on all levels, we're all the same. No, our biological needs and bodies are different. Men have been the hunters and the philanderers. Being with an actor has its own set of issues, but the basic differences arise because men are men. Cheaters will cheat anywhere.
7.Mahira Khan (2017)
Mahira Khan is an A-list Pakistani superstar actress who debuted in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 movie Raees. She was seen vacationing with Ranbir in 2017 in New York. Mahira became the victim for a lot of slut-shaming after being seeing with Ranbir and had to issue a public apology claiming she is "not perfect". After being seen, Ranbir and Mahira broke up.
8. Alia Bhatt (2018-now)
Actress Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor met on the movie set of Black (2005) while Alia was just 11 and Ranbir was 21. Alia has confessed many times that she has been in love with Ranbir since she was a child. The two allegedly first hooked up in 2014 but did not publicly come out as a couple till 2018.
Alia has said before that sexual infidelity isn't a dealbreaker for her in a relationship that "emotional infidelity" is. So maybe Ranbir has found the perfect partner for himself!
