I love this movie, it made me cry when I saw it in the theaters. I loved Geena Davis as Dottie and Madonna was really good as Mae.

omg when Tom Hanks had to tell Bettie that her husband was dead and all of the women looked so tense because they didn't know who he was walking towards :( :( :(

I also cry when the bratty little kid shows up at the museum at the very end and he's grown up talking about how his mom died. Uuuugh I need to re-watch this movie.

Definitely. It seems like the movie inferred she didn’t have the best home life and husband, but Stillwell and baseball were things she did for herself and loved and he was there acknowledging that. Ugh. It’s such a good movie.

You got me crying in my Uber but you hit all the marks. This movie is legit one of the most perfect films and I’m praying the tv show will do justice for the Black and brown players.

Also, i think it’s important every little girl watches this movie as a child, the strength and power it gave me and my sis is immeasurable.

God that scene is perfection. There’s this one tiny moment where the two women on either side of Betty both let out this relieved sigh and then go to comforting her. Because they’re glad it’s her husband and not theirs.
