'Barry' is finally back in production

• The Bill Hader dramedy aired its season two finale back in May 2019 and was a few weeks from starting production on its third season in March 2020, but of course filming had to be shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Back in January, Hader appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and he mentioned that the downtime had allowed the writers to finish scripts for season 3 and season 4 they were just waiting for HBO to give them a start date.
• In a separate interview co-star Stephen Root talked about how they were trying to convince HBO to allow them to shoot both seasons back to back in order to avoid anymore production delays.
