• In November 2017, the New York Times ran an article on Louis CK where five women went on record and exposed his history of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and intimidation. Almost immediately the studio distributing his shitty Woody Allen tribute movie I Love You Daddy pulled the film. He was dropped by his management, talent agency, and his publicist, while Netflix, FX, and TBS distanced themselves from CK and pulled his projects. CK would later go on to claim that he lost $35 million in an hour after the publication of the article.
• The article at the source says that CK went on 'hiatus' after these accusations, but in reality CK made his first 'surprise' appearance at a New York comedy club less than a year after the article came out. He returned to standing ovations, and comedy clubs all over the country opened their doors for him. He also enjoyed support from fellow comedians like Michael Che, Norm Macdonald, and Janeane Garofalo.
• He made headlines for being heckled, and for "jokes" he made in his set about school shooting survivors, nonbinary people, and even made light of his victims.
• Now he has announced his first major tour, which is surely the first step in his attempt to make his mainstream comeback. It kicks off next Friday and Saturday when he performs at Madison Square Garden and runs through the end of the year. He apparently plans to take the tour overseas in 2022.
