Sandra Oh is interviewed by Amanda Peet on their new show, Netflix’s The Chair, as well as Sandra's career.
- In addition to the final season of Killing Eve, Sandra Oh has the dramedy series The Chair and the psychological horror movie Umma coming out.
- Sandra did not have the same experiences of other actresses in choice of roles. She feels she has played rich, supporting parts and played rich, full, leading characters; with a lot of the dimensionality coming from their relationships with other female characters.
- Sandra on her current career and the contrast between her characters in Killing Eve and The Chair: "I can say that I feel like my creative chops are all at the surface...I feel super emotionally toned because Killing Eve is like diving down into the ocean, and The Chair was just like flying and became instinctive. And personally, I feel in great creative shape and grateful to work on projects that are challenging the unbelievable pressure of being a modern woman."
- They are halfway through filming the final season of Killing Eve, and Sandra finds it exciting to sum up "an impossible relationship." She does find that it’s become harder and more impossible to figure out how it ends or how it continues as time has gone on.
- After the Atlanta spa shooting, she was touched by how many crew members of The Chair went with her to a protest. "I felt like there’s a lot of fear, and the only thing I felt at that moment to offer was to be strong. Reach out in the face of fear; practice reaching out to others."
