i still do not care about a single character or plot that's happening, and i still don't think it's particularly fun or entertaining, but there is some good dialogue to be had, if only because i'm always a sucker for pop culture references

that said, the big julian speech denouncing being a bully made me roll my eyes so fucking hard, is this a teen show on hbo max or on disney+

julien has been kinda corny and self righteous like that since the first episode though so it tracks lol

especially since up until this point she... wasn't really shown as a bully, from what i recall? she seemed like a kind of twist on the popular girl, where her minions were far meaner than she was shown to be

That whole scene was SO bizarre and cringe

It’s weird how Julian ALWAYS learns a lesson and does something earnest by the end. Let the kween be a kween for a little bit!!!

seriously, that felt like a season finale scene after a long arc of her starting as a nice popular girl and being drawn into being meaner by her friends before she realizes how she's let herself be ~changed. still super cheesy and more disney than hbo or gossip girl, but at least would have build up and some impact, but in episode fucking four? choices.

days late on this but I think it's an interesting wrinkle as far as how much of Julien's life and persona has been 'curated' by Monet and Luna up until this point and the other friends simply accepting it? But now that Zoya's popped she has seemingly put a monkey wrench in their programming a bit

I was cracking up at how they just continued on with the party lololol. I’m surprised that Zoya’s dad didn’t just run over and slap the phone out of Lunet’s hand. You can’t tell me that Zoya’s dad isn’t “fuck them kids” at this point.

omg i hated that scene and how luna & monet didnt seem to face any consequences for it??? if i was julien i would be so pissed at them because it made her look horrible in front of a ton of people. maybe they’ll deal with it next episode
