Halloween Candy Is Hitting Store Shelves Earlier This Year Compared To Last Year

Uhh, I think this candy is going to melt before we get to Halloween! We still have the #DogDaysOfSummer to get through! #EarlierEveryYear https://t.co/xSoZahnQq9

Lmao Halloween/spooky decor is up year round for our family. I’ve been hitting all the stores for decor this year so my own place is stacked 🎃

I’m in Southern California, so idk if this will help but here goes:

At Home (if you have it!) has had their Halloween stuff slowly trickling out since July 4th.

I went to Joanns last night and they had a handful of decorations out (pricey imo but if you have coupons, you can probably score some good stuff)

Michaels has their build your own dollhouse Haunted House sets out, along with the mini furniture; I also found Halloween wreath holders & wreath items as well, along with DIY wooden cutouts - pumpkins, tombstones, etc. I bought two 46” coffin wood boards so my boyfriend can build us a small little makeshift coffee table out of it! From what I read, Michaels will have most of their Halloween collection out by mid- to late August, including some pieces that are reminiscent of their pastel goth collection from last year! Not my cup of tea, but I know everyone went nuts for it last year so just a heads up!

Marshall’s had a few Rae Dunn Halloween items out, like small signs & skull mugs. I found way more Halloween decor & tableware at Home Goods (this one was attached to TJ Maxx so I didn’t find much outside of HGs). I found some skull pillows and a cute little dog pumpkins at Home Goods so I scooped those up.

As of right now, I havent found much at the major retailers (Walmart & Target) because they’re focused on back to school. But I would give it another week or two before they start putting out the fall/Halloween decor. I used to work for Ross and we didn’t receive Halloween stuff until about the first or second week of August, so I am just waiting for my old coworker to give me the heads up so I can start prowling there too lol. Hopefully this helps! I don’t have an Old Time Pottery, but I know the south has this & there are some small cute items at Cracker Barrel (like Día de los Muertos inspired).

I only have this knowledge bc my boyfriend knows I’m obsessed with the gothic/spooky vibe (our home is going to be straight out of the Addams Family), so he’s been hitting a lot of stores for me during his lunch hour when he works further down from our small area lmao. But also, lots of these stores (Michaels esp) have their fall collections out already, so I’m expecting their Halloween stuff to come in about a week or two!

I pulled out my little Nightmare Before Christmas countdown calendar recently and I've already bought a couple of little things. I'm ready tbh.
