I thought it was great and had no idea about the winky-ass fanboys until I stumbled on a thread on reddit. They're all 'oh, it's a bait and switch.' 'Oh, Kevin Smith lied to us.' 'Oh, it has a female lead.' 'Whiny-ass misogynistic fanboys trying to pretend they're angry about 'being lied to' when it's actually because the show focuses on female characters it's ignored for such a long time. The season is only half out and the second half could be all He-Man, all the time and they're still judging it. God. I hate straight men. I mean, I hate misogynists but really that Venn diagram overlaps a hell of a lot. Ugh. And they keep in their tiny-ass echo chambers, 'validating' each others' views in it and then go around review-bombing so, what, they can tell other people how much a cartoon made their tiny dicks shrivel up from their own perceived inadequacies and that theirs is really the 'right' opinion? Uuuuugh.

But the show actually is really good as someone who's a fan of He-Man/She-Ra, who crowdfunded the documentary, who owns She-Ra art, had Castle Greyskull and other action figures as a kid. I think the new series does a fantastic job of continuing the story in a modern way.

as someone who's a fan of He-Man/She-Ra

That's where you're different from them because most of these chuds never watched an episode of the OG series in their lives. They just want to be mad.

It won't let me edit for some reason, but I meant whiny-ass, not winky-ass
