July 20, 2021 While appearing on The Tonight Show Monday, host Jimmy Fallon asked Joshua Jackson if he always knew that he and wife Jodie Turner-Smith were destined to be married.
Joshua responded, "I knew the moment she asked me. We were in Nicaragua [on New Year's Eve]. It was very beautiful, incredibly romantic. We were walking down the beach, and she asked me to marry her...There was a lead-up to it. I did not know [about it beforehand], but she was quite adamant, and she was right. This is the best choice I ever made."
The couple married in 2019 and welcomed a daughter in April 2020.
Talking about his daughter, Joshua said being a father was excellent. When asked by Fallon if his phone is filled with pictures of his little girl, Jackson explained that he is "100% that dad."
"It's amazing how many pictures you can take of one baby. I know all parents think their kids are super cute, but my kid is like, really super cute."
