-A nice wholesome post for Saturday. Earlier last week Gigi Hadid managed to change someone's life and career by uploading a pic to her social media.
-It all started yesterday on a sunny Thursday morning, when 23-year-old Nanga Awasum was walking to her modeling job at Nike. Little did she know that Gigi was in paparazzi mode and snapped a pic of her to post in her Instagram story.

Gigi had written: "Shoutout to my NYC inspiration of the day: this queen," Gigi wrote. "Was too [drool emoji] to get a pic of the front, but she was major."
-funny enough Nanga Awasum was on her way to a modeling gig and had decided on that specific at last minute which granted she didn't actually like her choice that:
"It's funny because I woke up that morning and I couldn't get out of bed so I literally threw on that outfit, and I'm not even kidding you, I hated it," Nanga said."
-It wasn't until much later in the day that she found out that Gigi had uploaded her pic to social media when 3 little girls tapped on the shoulder [she was shopping at Zara] and asked if she was the lady in Gigi's IG story!!
-She later messaged Gigi to thank her for the upload

-As a result of the exposure Nanga has gotten more gigs!!

"I've been told I'm ugly, I've been told I'm not pretty enough, I've been told I'm too dark-skinned," Nanga said. "Being a Black model in the industry and for her to notice me. ...
