Even with the symbol having different meaning to other cultures, it was still a stupid fucking thing to put in the filter. Anastasia would have to be dumb not to consider the obvious connotations most people think of when seeing it, even with it facing another direction (like anyone is really going to notice). Use the symbol to practice whatever the fuck you're doing, but when it comes to things like this, how hard is it to read the room?

Anastasia Truita Tkachenko, Russian creator of the filter, said the symbol is a Slavic symbol and “symbolizes good, the sun and life.”

I am aware of the symbol predates nazi germany by centuries but to use in this day and age (outside of those religions) its verrrrrrrry risky and don't think blaming it on naiveness is enough.

The creator knew what she was doing.

Facebook can suck it. They banned me for 12 days by joking with my best friend that I was gonna slap him. 🙄

Yup! Yet another time I was banned. My friend asked why men are uncomfortable if a woman makes more and I replied “because some straight men are weird” BAM! 7 day suspension. 😂. I’m like I can’t even speak the truth on this damn app lol
