Weekend Box Office: Black Widow scores massive theater/Disney+ opening

Black Widow finally debuted this weekend to massive numbers. The film earned a pandemic record of $80 million in 4,160 theaters. Internationally, the film opened to $78 million. Disney is also reporting that the film earned a massive $60 million globally via its Disney+ Premier Access. All in the all, the film took $218 million worldwide its opening weekend.

F9 came in 2nd with $10.88 million, followed by The Boss Baby 2 with $8.7 million, The Forever Purge with $6.7 million, and A Quiet Place Part II with $3 million. This weekend saw AQP pass the $150 million mark. The film will make its debut on Paramount+ tomorrow.

Coming next weekend: Space Jam 2 in theaters/HBO Max, Escape Room 2, and Fear Street Part 3.
