HBO really provided some budget for this.

[Spoiler Chat] Monet is already a queen - wished the character/actress was the lead.
Okay, I liked the twist with J/Z being half-sisters, it raises the stakes for drama.
But WOOF at these teachers!?!!? They had me feeling sorry for them for about half a scene. They are in over their heads and probably have no VPN. Posting confidential admission/scholarship documents, papping on teenagers (including a fucking 14 year old) while getting undressed, etc. has me rooting for these spoiled kids. I think Kate is going to let one of the other teachers take the fall when this blows up.

But also, I was incredibly bored.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Those teachers are in over their heads! I cannot see any of these kids parents not suing them for all they are worth, if it ever comes out that they are behind GG. Like, these people are rich af, I don't see any way a reasonable adult would go up against these rich kids and jeopardize their entire future like this.
Also with GG being an IG account ... just mass report her and the problem should be dealt with..

the acting is so bad and it’s like they take every chance they can do something fun or interesting with editing and squander it, so the entire episode just dragged. [Spoiler (click to open)] I said this in the roundup but the worst part is when Julian was going on and on about ~the rules~ of where to go in the city and we could’ve gotten some fast cuts, shots of the group going to these places or even flashes of their curated insta feeds featuring these places. Instead we got Zoya being bewildered and the rest of her friend group looking bored

the characters are so boring and they’re too polite to each other. each of them should be a monster on the level of Monet and Luna lol. and it was boring to sit through all these scenes about the influencer lifestyle like I don’t want to hear about brand deals every single episode. the teacher plot was dumb too.

anyways if you want a fun teen show on HBO Max just go watch Genera+ion instead

The rich kids were to bored with life and too mean. Monet and the other one had zero charm to their mean girlness. They just came across as self entitled, spoiled brats.

The big Gossip Girl twist obviously was not thought about by the creative team which doesnt surprise me given they wanted to give us Nate as Gossip Girl before moving onto Dan. It was cringe if you put the slightest thought into it.

How is Constance one of the top schools in the country but the students decide which teachers stay and which get fired?
