Same. I think it's weird that people always bring that up bc Blake might be the one making more money but a lot of her projects are shit, I doubt she's getting much praise for her acting chops, and nothing suggests that Leighton actually wants to be in those types of projects. I hope she gets meatier, better roles bc she's a great actor. She might not be getting paid big bucks but she's easily the one from that shitshow whose career can have longevity & quality.
y’all seem to forget leighton was in monte carlo, the roommate, that’s my boy ??? like it’s ok to admit leighton would love to have some of blake’s roles. it’s not that serious.
True but she’s done interviews since she had her kids and got married where she’s said she likes doing sitcoms because the filming time is quicker and allows her more time with her family.
I feel like she liked doing that stuff back then, but seems more into indie projects or TV work these days, as I imagine it gives a better family/work balance. (Especially as she was able to work with Adam a bit on Single Parents)
i remember everyone thought leighton would be the michelle williams to blake lively's katie holmes. they didn't expect blake to be so savvy. sis and her whittled down nose played the game like no other starlet in the business. kissed all the right people's asses (anna wintour, we*nstein), had her team put her on lists for the most coveted roles (black swan, great gatsby, gravity) and ran through the most eligible a list bachelors in hollywood (including married men 👀). i don't like her but i respect the hustle
Yeah, Blake is really quite a lesson on how acting talent doesn't necessarily matter as much as having the right look & the ability to sell your brand well.
