A 30-year-old woman who is believed to have caused the crash last week has surrendered herself to police in France. She could be fined $1,700 and face up to a year in jail, and the organizers of the race have said that they plan to sue her to discourage spectators from doing something similar in the future.
UPDATE: The race organizers have decided not to sue her.
