Phylicia Rashad issues new statement, but still said what she said

Following Phylicia Rashad's early message of support for Bill Cosby, Howard University - where Rashad is Dean of the Fine Arts College - said that "her initial tweet lacked sensitivity towards survivors of sexual assault." Read the full statement here: https://t.co/gy5n1biceM

After receiving backlash, Phylicia Rashad issued a new statement:

“I fully support survivors of sexual assault coming forward,” she wrote on Instagram. “My post was in no way intended to be insensitive to their truth. Personally, I know from friends and family that such abuse has lifelong residual effects. My heartfelt wish is for healing.”


HOWEVER... she isn't backtracking. Her social media posts - such as her Twitter- on the subject are still up and she closed comments to only people she follows, which is only two.

This wasn't the first time she defended him.
