Chibnall's Doctor Who has just been so boring, which sucks because I love the cast. I just don't feel like I've been able to really connect with them through the arcs we've had. I dunno. I was so hype for Jodie and then all my interest just faded away.

Same. The last season was a bit better, I love the new master, but overall it's still a chore to watch.

MTE. I see people blaming Jodie for the dullness of it all, but she can only elevate the material so much on her own. In the end, I still feel she was a good choice for the role and does the best she can. Chibnall is the problem. Any Doctor under him is going to face the same problems.

I just realized I no longer know SHIT about DW. I mean, I don't watch it, never did. The only Doctor I ever saw on a screen was 9th. BUT I sure as hell knew all about the next ones because of the loud fandom. Then I knew about Jodie being cast and after that... null. Nothing. I never knew there was a new Doctor until your post.

I do LOVE Jodie Whitaker as the Doctor, I am a bit meh about the companions. That being said, while I found her first season quite boring, her latest season was one of the most exciting Doctor Who has been in a while (Fugitive of the Judoon was bonkers!)

Same, I had a bad feeling as soon as he was announced as the new showrunner tbh because I’ve always found his individual episodes pretty boring and uninspired, but I gave it a go and in the end I had to drop it halfway through season 11 because I was just so bored. Jodie was fine as the Doctor I agree, but the episode plots were so meh, and also there just wasn’t the same connection between the doctor and the companions as there always used to be

I’m surprised actually to see so many people on here feeling this way though, because when Chibnall first took over I seem to remember most people on here being pretty hyped over how much better it was than Moffat’s, but honestly I always really liked both the Moffat and the RTD era and thought that Moffat’s episodes were great 🤷‍♀️
