June 20, 2021 The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard debuted at #1 with an $11.7 million weekend. The film, which dropped Wednesday, took in $17 million for its 5-day.
It in 4th weekend, A Quiet Place Part II dropped only 22% to $9.4 million. The film has now passed the $200 million mark worldwide, with $222 currently. Godzilla vs. Kong also joined the $100-million club with AQP2 this weekend.
Peter Rabbit 2 ($6.1 million), The Conjuring 3 ($5.15 million) and Cruella ($5.1 million) rounded out the top five.
In the Heights, which disappointed in its debut last week, fell out of the top 5 completely, dropping 63% with $4.2 million.
Also debuting this weekend was Edgar Wright's documentary, The Sparks Brothers, with $265k.
