EW gives new Pixar movie "Luca" a B+

'Luca' is small-fry Pixar, a sunny Mediterranean trifle set in a postcard Italian village by the sea. But it's a winning one. https://t.co/8rl2EXJRln

I thought so too. But I’ve seen clips and gifs that people made it seem so. Idk but they are such good friends that it’s so sweet like awwww

I could possibly see that too

To me it felt like Luca just saw Alberto as a close friend and if anything he was going to end up with a crush on the girl

To me it felt like Alberto was upset because Luca started to pull away from the strict one on one friendship and wanted to grow their circle

But like I said this is where my projecting could come in, I deff relate to Alberto, as a teenager I had close straight male friends who started to pull away when they got interested in a girl

It felt like [Spoiler (click to open)]It was originally a first love story that was changed late in the process. I mean the starry-eyes looks Luca gives Alberto scream first gay crush.
