Never seen a single F&F movie but the longevity of this franchise is fascinating to me.

I saw the first two and that's enough FF for a lifetime. I've kept up with the subsequent films through reviews and they sound so fucking stupid but like absolute perfect mall films. It's almost a matter of how can they not make money with these films? They hit a sweet spot on nearly everybody's dinosaur brain.

I think it is also interesting how the films had a bit of a resurgence that then surpassed the box office of the initial entries. It could have been the return of the OG characters along with the 20 new supporting characters added to the saga.

I feel it maybe also helped that Tokyo drift was so bad lol that when the cast came back for Fast 4, there was more excitement and interest there, but I agree, I think it was the resurgence of all the characters coming back that drew everyone in
