5/26 characters who could not catch a break

Bonnie Bennett from The Vampire Diaries.

[Spoiler (click to open)]"Not only was she constantly having to sacrifice herself for everyone around her, she lost pretty much everyone she loved. And worst of all no one around seemed to be grateful for all the sacrifices she was constantly making."

Mike Delfino from Desperate Housewives.

[Spoiler (click to open)]"They couldn't give the guy a break! Something terrible happened to him every season - from losing his wife, losing Zach, divorcing Susan, having mountains of debt, Orson trying to kill him - Mike really went through an awful lot. Just when he and Susan were finally happy, he got murdered when he was just trying to protect his friends from a loan shark!"

Taystee from Orange is the New Black.

[Spoiler (click to open)]"Not only did she have to watch her best friend murdered in front of her eyes, and then watch everyone in the riot screw up her chance to get justice for her, but then she got life in prison for a murder she didn’t commit! I cannot watch that show again knowing what happens to her, it breaks my heart."

Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy

[Spoiler (click to open)]"She had a bad relationship with both her dead beat parents, discovered two half-sisters at different times, almost drowned, was in a plane crash, lost many friends to death in tragic ways, had to pull the plug on Derek, the love of her life.
The list goes on. Anyone who has gone through half of what she's dealt with would be TRAUMATISED."

Daenerys in Game of Thrones

[Spoiler (click to open)]"She suffered so much trauma and loss and they gave her a misogynistic ending. All she ever wanted was to go home, yet in Westeros, even though without her help and sacrifices everyone would have died, they mistrusted her for the simple reason that she didn't spend her life there. She watched the two people she loved most being killed right in front of her, and then her birthright threatened to slip out of her reach, because as soon as it became clear that there was the option of having a man on the throne, her advisors turned on her. In the end, the man who made her believe that he loved her chose to kill her. It's awful."

vampire diaries / the originals (cw), desperate housewives (abc), orange is the new black (netflix), game of thrones (hbo)
