Kim Jong-un sees the rise of K-Pop and its fans as a threat to North Korean.

Leaked documents show the North Korean government is holding a campaign against the genre, calling it a "vicious cancer" of South Korea. The New York Times reports that K-Pop is spreading "anti-socialism" and corrupting the "attire, hairstyles, speech, behaviors" of the youth.
