Scooby Doo...where are you?! HBO Max series 'Velma' ditches Scooby gang
Mindy Kaling’s animated ‘VELMA’ series for HBO Max will depict the titular character being of East Asian descent.
It is also said that the series will be set in a world where Scooby-Doo & the Mystery Machine do not exist.

-Mindy Kalings 'Velma' animated series is looking to make a big change to the character.
-Velma will now be depicted as being of East Asian descent.
-But even bigger and more importantly, they are plucking Velma out of the Scooby Doo universe and will have it where Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred don't even exist.
-Begs the question "why make a Velma series without any of the scooby gang?"
