Harry Melling, who you may recognize as Dudley Dursley or Harry Beltik from The Queen's Gambit, is set to star as Edgar Allan Poe in The Pale Blue Eye, a new film from Scott Cooper. Cooper, who most recently directed Hostiles and the perpetually-delayed-but-hopefully-upcoming Antlers, has been trying to get this project made for a decade, based on a book of the same name by Louis Bayard.

Christian Bale is already set to star in the film as a detective investigating a series of murders at West Point. He partners with a young detail-oriented cadet to solve the murders, the cadet in question being a young Edgar Allan Poe.
