Mte. I haven't watched the show in a while, but I don't remember him being horrible. Schmidt however was gross with his sexist and racist behavior. I vaguely remember Nick being an ass too.

he wasn't noticeably worse than Nick or Schmidt and gave us line dancing so I'll imagine they meant Xander instead

It's ridiculous, he might have not worked anymore when he rejoined the show but that doesn't make him a garbage human being. Not with Schmidt there who constantly makes inappropriate/racist comments about Cece.
