Robin is like everyone's fav uncle... losing him actually hurt.

Reading so many of his quotes post mortem about being funny so he could make others smile and happy so he might feel a bit better...it just guts me.

I rarely cry or get emotional deaths, sure shock and surprise of course but not emotional.

I got emotional over Robin Williams cause of nostalgia and it just came as very big surprise!

trigger warning....

I suffer from severe depression and Robin's death gutted me. I had met him years earlier and he was the loveliest person. And that he committed suicide... man, that hurt. Like how can I make it if someone like him can't handle it anymore. I would have been sad no matter how he died but it was so rough. You just assumed he was a happy person that made millions smile and laugh.

Most celebs, I would be...that's sad they seemed like a good person, talented, etc... Robin felt like you lost your friend.

Robin Williams gets to me as well, he was so funny and full of life. So many of us grew up watching him. I was abused as a child and honestly his comedic movies, even reruns of Mork and Mindy made me laugh when all I felt like doing was crying.

same here. However Robin Williams didn't end his life because of depression specifically, it was due to his diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia.
