Omg I used to have a job where I had to change my voicemail every day because I had to say what day it was and if I was in the office. Every day it was “hello, my name is………” and I’d just forget. I had to write a script because I got so anxious

Same! Anxiety and "brain farts" are real.

Plus there are a lot of songs, some of which are iconic and very recognizable, that I would recognize immediately if I heard them, but I couldn't tell you the artist or the song title because I heard them mostly on the radio in the 80s and 90s when we didn't have car stereos that list the artist name and song title. So I really can't fault her for not being able to name any of his songs on the spot.

Yeah I’m really bad at song names and artists. I know so many songs but couldn’t name them for the life of me. I also tend to be bad at peoples names too so I think I just do t have a very good memory. But it’s true that even now I listen to a lot of playlists while doing other tasks so I don’t look at the information.

I was just talking to my boyfriend about this the other day. He has playlists that are always on while we are in our shared office space, so I've heard all of these songs dozens and dozens of times. He'll mention a band that I can't place, and he is shocked since I know all the words to some song or another. I have to keep telling him that I hear it all the time, but I rarely take the time to actually figure out which band is singing, so there are loads of musicians that I know I actively like but couldn't tell you a single song title.

One time I was on stage for something and in front of an audience I couldn’t remember the name of The Roots, even tho my mom and I were JUST talking about The Roots five minutes before. I still think back on that and cringe
