I really like the points thing for the finale! I saw some comments on reddit saying this was the best season to have a guy and girl winner, but honestly it would have been the best season to have a top 3 (or 2 I guess) without genders. It's such a perfect setup for multiple winners that only having one feels lame as hell.
I also saw some criticism about how new and/or recently-appearing-on-the-main-challenge some of the contestants were which I agree with, but in the end I think it was smart of production to lure in both older and newer viewers.
Honestly this was the best season in forever. I know that ~drama is part of reality TV, but I like the drama of the competition and not so much the hooking up/back stabbing/"I'm drunk and Josh and going to get pretend-aggressive then cry" drama. Some of the latter is fine, but seeing the men (mostly) appreciating their partners and the elimination nominations going smoothly was great and entertaining to me! I know this is all a personal opinion but I hope there's more seasons like this.
Anyway this is my essay on how The Challenge: All Stars ruled.
