the first time i took more than 50g of plain old diphenhydramine, i woke up standing by my front door, keys in hand. when i got prescribed ambien, i thought about the possibilities and just stayed sleepless for a bit lol

(it also set off nighttime sleep-eating, so if you find entire loaves of bread and boxes of cookies or cereal mysteriously missing, there's your culprit)

I sleep SO WELL with ambien, so thank fuck I need an actual prescription to get it, otherwise I'd be addicted. have you checked you phone/social media to see if you sent any incriminating texts?

I'll never take it again. Apparently, I started deep cleaning at 4am (don't remember shit) once, drove to work and came back because it was closed (I don't remember doing this) and went back to bed. Got up and decided to sleep in the backyard on another time. It was cold as fuck in early April (I live in the mountains).

Or I was so groggy in the morning, I couldn't function.

Tylenol PM now or a hit of Melatonin.

Damn. My doctor refuses to prescribe me anything good bc of the dementia worries or whatever. OTC stuff didn’t even work anymore. 😩

ambien can fuuuck you up lol my mom took it for years (she was pretty addicted to it - couldn't sleep without it) and would somehow shop online and order things late at night. I came home once and there was this heavy ass box that she couldn't move inside - she'd bought a very nice and expensive cornhole set. After she passed away, I found a box in the closet of a Suzie Orman DVD set. I know there were some other things she ordered that I can't remember but those two just make me laugh.

The only time that I took it was the night before my mom‘s cancer surgery. I didn’t know you were supposed to take it and go to bed. So I took it and I cleaned up the kitchen. I got ready for bed, and I got higher than a motherfucker.

Spiritually I believed I was William Shatner.

I hate him and I’m still not entirely sure what it means, but spiritually I was him. I was talking like him and one of those dumb ass mega shark movies was just amazing hysterical high art. I was up all night when it was one of those nights I needed sleep the most.

Thanks to surgeries I’ve had some hard Damn meds over the years and nothing fucked me up like ambien.
