There is something so offputting about these wrestlers turned actors (the rock, dave bautista, john cena) that I am here for their downfall. The only one who has some charm is the rock. The worst is david bautista. This dude is in the middle. He just seems like such an asshole

I love The Rock, but I can't fuck with anyone who is silent AF on social issues. Especially when you're from 2 ethnic backgrounds. Bautista is vocal about race, politics, etc.

Can't say shit about any of their acting since I've never seen Bautista movie, never seen a Cena movie (where he isn't playing himself or something like himself) and The Rock's acting is just average, but I fuck with Bautista in 2021 in a way I never did prior.

I was gonna say, the man might be a shit actor but Hollywood is full of shit actors who are also awful people. At least Dave seems to be a good guy and if anyone is going to get undeserved opportunities and money out there it might as well be someone who tells Nazi's to fuck off.

as someone who is neurodivergent, I love and appreciate Drax. I understand it’s never been explicitly stated in the films other than him taking everything literally, but I know that a lot of people who are neurodivergent enjoyed the representation and his acceptance in the Guardians.

I really think it's a case where they write to Dave's strengths and use him effectively. He's not spectacular but he gets a few laughs. Plus I think the GotG films are edited with an eye to comedy so everyone benefits.

I’ve never really seen this voiced but I don’t like the rock. I don’t buy his “aw shucks” persona BUT I can’t say shit on this man’s work ethic and hustle. He is constantly working and somehow hasn’t overstayed his welcome like so many others.
Still don’t really like the guy but props.

I really liked Batista in Blade Runner 2049. I just hate that most of them have to use their ring names when they get roles, which means Vince and the E get a cut of everything they do. I truly wonder the direction they will take after he steps down or dies, continue with the carny bullshit or be fairer to the wrestlers earning outside of the promotion and keeping ownership of their names and image, a la AEW. both companies have come out against unionizing, but AEW at least seems to support their wrestlers earning and working, and having more flexible contracts.

i feel like Batista has the best acting chops of out the 3 but thats not saying much. The Rock is just The Rock in every movie
