I guess I don't have to spoiler cut what happened in the last episode given the screengab of that preview?

I'll still be vague because it's early and I'm tired - for the episode that we were waiting on for four years, it sure was boring and annoying to watch characters have the same conversation over and over again for 45 mins.

Yeah I was so whelmed by it except for the very beginning. I cried like a baby at the reunion, thanks to the person who was not June lol. The end...again. Whelmed.

I did cry when she told Luke "I'm sorry it's just me." and he just hugged her.

Yeah her acting in that scene was amazing but the cringe of the love that's kinda gone between them overwhelmed it for me, which was maybe the point. Or maybe I'm off but given her connection with Nick I am not feeling them. I don't really like Luke though lol so I'm prob biased

I read a review that was like "The crew was really contemplating sending her back to Gilead to die when they had the ability to just print her an ID and fake the manifest??" This show is always doing too much to try to cause tension.

There was a lot of fuckery

I get why the crew wanted nothing to do with her - theyre an NGO and therefore cannot take refugees, if they were found smuggling a person that could destroy their whole mission, etc.

However, they didnt even attempt to mask her appearance when she was like a posterchild for Gilead over the last year, they never explained how they just came up with a random name and got it approved on the border listing, why they didnt just hid her somewhere instead since it didnt even look like they were checking that well...

I get why they weren’t allowed to take her but it’s only an issue if they get caught. I also don’t know why Oona is acting like it’s still all fucked?? They have no reason to tell Gilead how June got out.

Yeah, her telling Moira there would be no office after this, was this to say Moira wouldn’t be working there anymore so they won’t see each other or that their NGO is actually going to shit over this?

I mean, there was more to it. By keeping her, they risked losing any good will they had with Gilead, and the ability to keep going back and providing supplies and medical aid to the people still trapped there. Yeah, they had the ability to fake papers / ID for her, but it was a bigger issue than that.

I understand that but it’s only an issue if they get caught. They have no reason to now later admit how June got to Canada. I mean they had no issues faking Moira being Canadian and taking her on the mission. Shouldn’t that not have happened if they’re so concerned??

Right? Moira going on the mission seemed personally risky given her actual identity and escape from Gilead but then when it seems they were able to just hand wave that risk away because Oona wanted her girlfriend to come along...

I feel like it wasn't just an issue with potentially being caught by the Gilead patrol but how it will be received back in Canada. By people who have friends and family they want to be helped out of Chicago, by the Canadian government, the other NGOs. And the trust in the team might be broken, I don't know how many people work for this NGO but that could put their work in jeopardy as well.
And like Oona said, they are there to help the people in need, not just one person, and their actions could also effect how Gilead will allow in other help organisations.
