I'm ngl, I was genuinely shocked when I read the plot summary on Wikipedia a few years ago. I don't know what I was expecting, but that was not it.

I looked it up when it was first on Broadway because I wanted to listen to the soundtrack with some context and was shocked so seeing everyone go through the same journey yesterday was delightful.

Yeah me too. And i was aggressively turned off. I haven't even listened to the music because the plot is so off-putting.
