Yasss I’ve always been a little jealous of 1984 babies because of the book lol. Early or late ‘84? I’m early ‘85 so graduated HS in 2003

I will always call myself a member of the “Oregon Trail generation,” since that label always felt like the best fit

Also, not great to hear that you’re considered “geriatric” right after you turn 40, because I was dealing with getting older just fine before I read that tweet last week 😑

Awww. I feel you, I’m 36 and a “geriatric” pregnancy already so this is the last thing I need to hear lol

"Oregon Trail Generation" would include beyond 1985 though, through 1990 at least.

We still call them "Xennials".

The term "geriatric millennial" was literally invented by the author of this dumbass medium article.

I've been trying to find mentions of the term "geriatric millennial" published before this week and the only thing that keeps coming up is a new book (in stores this month!) called "Digital Body Language" written by Erica Dhawan.

And guess who wrote this medium article - Erica Dhawan!

We're literally watching someone trying to make "fetch" happen in real time and I'm genuinely curious to see if it works. She's at least succeeded at getting herself a shitload of clicks and publicity the week her book is released.

Yeah, this whole thing reeks of trying to get all of us 80s babies riled up by calling us old.

Uhm what? Makes it even more ridiculous that she appears to be born in 1985 - placing her right at the edge of the age bracket for her ridiculing term, so she's "almost not part of the group", but still enough to benefit from the compliments she makes them.
