What's your favorite comedy of the 21st century?

The Death of Stalin without a doubt

actually In Bruges as well

though I will confess to laughing hysterically in the cinema at both Borat and Team America idk

The Death of Stalin did not work for me at ALL, idk why. It kind of bums me out, because I like the cast, I like dry humor, and so many other people loved it, but I don't think I laughed once.

Oh that's a shame! tbf I definitely didn't laugh out loud as much as I did watching some other stupider films (or as much as I have watching Iannucci's other stuff) but I just thought it was brilliant writing, and the performances were spot on; I've rewatched it so many times and just find it perfect from beginning to end

Team America is absolutely hilarious and I'd die on this hill. I still sing the songs to this day.

lmao same like the simple basic humour of the Matt Damon puppet still gets me

Also between Team America and the South Park movie Trey Parker has written so many genuine bangers ngl

And Alec Baldwin as the main villain feels like the perfect choice still lol
