Seth Rogen says he no longer plans to work with James Franco: “I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.”

Hm.

"I have no pity for myself in this situation" feels like a first in celebrity apologies.

Yeah, something about him needing to verify it for himself after all the allegations from Franco's acting school rubs me the wrong way. But he went out of his way to test his friend and saw the light. I'm not totally convinced that this is a morality issue and not a financial and reputational decision for him, but it's a start I guess.

At the very least, he's not making excusing for himself in how he saw the situation.

That was a joke, he didn't test him.

It's bullshit, but at least it's something.

I’m sure he’s still buddy buddy with him so to say he’s not “working with” him seems like a tricky way of making it seem like he cares. Don’t buy it tho men’ll be men at the end of the day no matter how much ~chill pottery stuff he posts.

Not saying he's telling the truth, but the article addresses that.

Rogen confirmed that it is “not a coincidence” that his professional relationship with Franco seems to have come to an end, and said that the allegations have affected their personal friendship as well.

“I don’t know if I can define that right now during this interview,” Rogen said of their friendship. “I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic.”

Between that and this:

“Yeah. But not as painful and difficult as it is for a lot of other people involved. I have no pity for myself in this situation.”

I'm honestly willing to see where Seth goes from here. His responses here were miles better than most.

I've liked a lot of his strong opinions over the last few years, but this is a blatant case of "Please stop asking me about my predatory pal!"

Fucking Seth. He's often so on point, but, at the end of the day, simply another guy willing to cover for one of his fellow males.
