Amazon and Netflix cutting ties with HFPA

Amazon and Netflix have each issued statements to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that in simple terms states: "Fuck Off, We're Done Here."
The HFPA recently voted overwhelming for new inclusion and overhaul proposals that will include looking for more black members and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer. But studios and other Hollywood groups have immediately called bullshit on these changes and don't believe they're actually meaningful.
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos told the group as such and that the streamer will no longer work with them until they get their act together.
Amazon also released a statement, saying it has not worked with the group since this mess started and will not be doing so again until things improve.
Time's Up, The National Association of Black Journalists, GLAAD, major Hollywood publicists, and even Scarlett Johaanson have come out against the groups new reform plans.
