Affected machines are the TREAD and TREAD+.
Peloton initially pooh-pooh'd concerns and did not cooperate with the CDC, even after footage surfaced of a child being pulled under the tread and struggling to free himself.

Many children have been injured, and one has died. Other, less deadly reports indicdiate the touchscreen loosens and falls off on the TREAD, the cheaper model that has yet to hit the US market ( and probably won't)

CEO John Foley said in a statement Wednesday. “We should have engaged more productively with them from the outset. For that, I apologize.

The PC police have come for the dangerous treadmill that lacks basic safety features and killed a child! pic.twitter.com/jqCn6XywpV

I guarantee that somewhere in the design and prototyping stage someone on the team brought up this concern and was ignored repeatedly. The safety issue should be immediately apparent to any engineer that works in manufacturing.

Peloton encourages people to stop use of the treadmills immediately and return them (somehow).
